#tgifc285 – snowflake wishes…

10.09.20…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have have a super fun Sketch Challenge for you!  That’s right, my stampin’ friends…..grab your favorite stamp set, maybe a circle punch or circle die, and…just go crazy! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!

For this card, I started with some Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, along with some 2020-2022 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, and adhered them to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then added some Whisper White Cardstock, which I embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Before I adhered it to the card base, I added some speckling with my Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends Marker. (I created the speckling by “flicking” the thick end of the marker against the edge of the marker cap, and “flicking” outward towards my paper.) On top of that, I added a wide strip of Peony Garden DSP, along with a circle that I die cut (with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies) from a bit more of the 2020-2022 6″ x 6″ DSP.

To create the snowflakes, I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Blushing Bride to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I added the color randomly (and left lots of “white space”), so that my snowflakes had some very subtle shading. All three of the snowflakes were die cut with dies from the Snowflake Wishes Bundle. The sentiment (also from the Snowflake Wishes Bundle) was heat-embossed on Blushing Bride Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Before I popped up the sentiment with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (cut in half vertically), and some of the Baker’s Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack (…with the Misty Moonlight ply pulled out from the twine). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes, and a couple of the Elegant Faceted Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,

The 2020-2021 catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
