#tgifc287 – october 31st…

10.23.2020…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have a Halloween Theme Challenge for you!  That’s right, my stampin’ friends…..it’s time to grab your favorite spiders, bats, and pumpkin stamps, and…just go crazy! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!

For this card, I started with some Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. On top of that, I also added some Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

For the moon, I created my own stencil, by die cutting a large circle (with one of the Layering Circle Dies) from a scrap piece of cardstock. I then used a Sponge Dauber, along with some Crushed Curry, to stencil the circle on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the bats (from the Festive Post Stamp Set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and using my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the marker cap, and “flicked” it outward towards my paper.) I then layered some Basic Black Cardstock underneath.

Before I popped up the entire panel with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Black/White Twine (from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack), Bumblebee Mini Gingham Ribbon (cut in half vertically), and some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (colored with my Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker…and cut in half vertically.)

The little pumpkin (from the Gather Together Bundle) was stamped on Whisper White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, and cut out with the coordinating die from the same bundle. To color the pumpkin, I used a Water Painter, along with some Pumpkin Pie, to add a quick wash of color. After it was dry, I popped it up with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I heat-embossed the “October 31” image (from the Festive Post Stamp Set) on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I punched it out with the coordinating Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I added a couple of Artistry Bloom Sequins, Elegant Faceted Gems, and a gold Metallic Pearl.

Wishing you creativity always,

The 2020-2021 catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
