10.16.20…..Happy Friday, everyone! Hopefully everyone’s had at least a little bit of time to squeeze in some crafting this week! I always love using stamp sets and products in unexpected ways! That being said, I decided to pull out my Winter Woods Stamp Set today, but…I decided to mix things up a bit and used it to create an Autumn card! I hope you enjoy my card, and it inspires you to “think outside the box”!
For this card, I started with some Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, added some In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, and adhered the entire panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then used some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and misted it with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water). I then used a Water Painter to add some Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider. I misted the paper just a bit more with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, and “flicked” them above the paper. This time, I let the paper dry on it’s own, and did not use my heat tool.
I stamped the trees (from the Winter Woods Stamp Set) in Early Espresso , and also added some speckles with my Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Marker, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker against the edge of the marker cap, and “flicking” outwards toward the paper. I then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the paper to the card base.
The sentiment (from the Gather Together Stamp Set) was also stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White Cardstock, then cut out and popped up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For some fun texture, I added some Linen Thread, and some Copper Mini Grosgrain Ribbon (cut in half vertically), from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack. For just a bit of bling, I added a couple of Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and an Elegant Faceted Gem.
