#tgifc295 – season’s greetings…

12.18.2020…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have an Inspiration Challenge! We hope that it inspires you to create a holiday card or project. As always, feel free to use this as well as any of our challenges as a jumping off point. While most people might focus on the Christmas tree aspect, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, you can choose to just do trees, or maybe include a green oval with black accents…think outside the box! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!

For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Before I added the Blushing Bride ink, I created an stencil, using one of the Layering Oval Dies to cut an oval from a scrap of cardstock. Then, I gently added the ink with a Sponge Dauber. I added some speckling with my Dark Sahara Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked”the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and flicked outward towards the paper.) I also added some extra texture by embossing the cardstock with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Before I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Sahara Sand Cardstock base, I layered a slightly larger piece of Whisper White Cardstock underneath.

For a subtle pop of color, I added a little strip of Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, and another little strip of Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The Pear Pizzazz trees (from the In the Pines Bundle) were stamped on Whisper White Cardstock, cut out with the coordinating die from the same bundle, and popped up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath is a Linen Thread bow.

The sentiment (also from the In the Pines Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a couple of Snowflake Sequins, a Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel, a Wonderful Gem, and an Elegant Faceted Gem.

Wishing you creativity always,

The 2020-2021 catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
