03.12.21…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! We love bringing you weekly paper-crafting inspiration, and are so excited to have you join us in using this week’s sketch challenge for your inspiration! It should be a great one to spark wonderful creativity! We hope you have a chance to play along with us today! We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with some 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x6″ Designer Series Paper, and added it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Cardstock underneath, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base. I also added a Basic White scalloped circle (cut out with one of the Layering Circles Dies), and embossed it with the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder.
To create the butterflies, I used Magenta Madness, Calypso Coral, and Crushed Curry (along a couple of Sponge Daubers) to randomly add color to the two of the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. Before I stamped each image on Basic White Thick Cardstock, I spritzed the images just a bit with my Stampin’ Spritzer. After the stamped images were dry, I also added a bit of speckling with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outwards toward the paper.) After I cut out the butterflies with the coordinating die from the Butterfly Brillance Bundle, I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment (from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For some fun texture, I added a bow with some Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon, cut apart vertically. For a bit of bling, I added several of the Woven Threads Sequins, and a few of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Thank you so much, Donna! 💕 I used Magenta Madness In Color Ribbon, cut in half vertically. I went back and forth, making several loops, then tied it in the middle. One of my big goals for this year is to begin doing videos. The first one will be on ribbon/bows. Stay tuned… 😃
