springtime joy…

03.19.21…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! I can’t believe that Easter is just a couple of weeks away! Today, I decided that I’d better get going on my Easter cards! So..I pulled out the adorable Springtime Joy Stamp Set, from the Stampin’ Up! January – June Mini Catalog! It is the cutest little stamp set…just perfect for all of your Springtime projects!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I used a Sponge Dauber to gently add some Coastal Cabana to another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. After I embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut it out. Before I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I layered two pieces of Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

The bunny (from the Springtime Joy Stamp Set) was stamped on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. I colored the bunny with the the following Stampin’ Blends Marker Combo Packs…..Gray Granite, Petal Pink, and Old Olive. The little flowers on the bunny’s head were punched out from the Peony Garden DSP, using the the Confetti Flowers Border Punch.

To create the leaves, I started with a larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used a Sponge Dauber to gently add random swirls of Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz. I then used one of the dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies to cut out four of the branches. (I also used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to addsome speckling to the branches. (To create the speckling, I “flicked the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outwards towards the paper.)

The sentiment (from the Well Said Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Crumb Cake Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also added a Linen Thread bow, and for a bit of bling…I sprinkled on a few Flowers for Every Season Gems.
