03.31.2021…..Happy Wednesday, everyone! Even though the nights are still really cold, it’s starting to feel a bit like Spring! So….that put me in the mood to create a this colorful card, using the Pretty Perennials Bundle! Hope this inspires you to create some bright, cheeful Springtime projects as well!
For this card, I started with some Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and added it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Cardstock underneath, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
The flowers (from the Pretty Perennials Bundle) were stamped in Magenta Madness, Highland Heather, and Daffodil Delight. After I cut them out with the coordinating dies from the same bundle, I added some speckling with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the paper). The Basic White centers of the larger flowers and the Granny Apple Green leaves were also created with dies from the Pretty Perennials Bundle.
The sentiment (from the Springtime Joy Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling and dimension, I sprinkled on some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and Matte Black Dots.
