happy birthday…

08.31.21…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! I just can’t believe that this is the last day of August…and September is on it’s way! Can’t wait for those beautiful autumn days…and cool evenings! That being said, I decided to create a fall-themed birthday card, using the Intricate Leaves Dies and the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. Hope this card inspires you to get going on your fall projects!

For this card, I started with Misty Moonlight Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Misty Moonlight Cardstock base. I then used some Beauty of the Earth DSP, layered some Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped up entire panel with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next, I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Misty Moonlight to a small piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I also used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock. I then layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the large leaf, I used one of the Intricate Leaves Dies, along with a Copper Foil Sheet. The sentiment (from the Sweet as a Peach Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Crumb Cake Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tucked underneath the sentiment, is some Linen Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,

  1. I love this Tammy Wilson piece of art! For clothing and decorating I am a cool-colors-all-the-way girl! I am a warm scents girl. I love making fall cards but find ways to incorporate some coolness with all of that warmth. This is my kind of fall card, warmth with some cool. Totally a member of the Tammy Wilson Fan Club❤️

    1. Thank you bunches! You are so kind! I love all types of color combinations, but I definitely gravitate towards the subtles and the cooler colors…but I love the brights, too! Just depends on my mood… 😉
