you’re so special…

09.01.21…..Happy Wednesday, everyone! It’s official…September is here! And…as far as getting your fall projects completed, there’s no time to waste! That being said, I had so much fun using the Intricate Leaves Dies yesterday, that today I decided to create a card with the coordinating Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set! Both the dies and the stamp set are available together in the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle… at a10% discount! How cool is that!

For this card, I started with Early Espresso Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Early Espresso Cardstock base. On top of that, I added a long strip of Basic White Thick Cardstock.

I then used the large leaf stamp (from the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set), to create a row of leaves on Basic White Cardstock. For each leaf, I stamped it in Bumblebee first, then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Early Espresso around the edges. After I stamped each leaf, I quickly cleaned the stamp with a paper towel, before stamping the next leaf. I also used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock)

I also tucked a Crumb Cake Cardstock border underneath the top and bottom edges, using one of the Ornate Layers Dies. I then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire strip to the card base.

The sentiment (from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Before I popped up the sentiment with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals, I cut it out with one of the Meadow Dies. To add a some extra texture, I created a bow with Linen Thread, and…Gold Fine Art Ribbon and Gold Shimmer Ribbon (both cut in half vertically). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Gilded Gems, Genial Gems, and a gold Metallic Pearl.
