merry & bright…

11.01.2021…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! Today I decided to do something that I really enjoy, but don’t do as often as I’d like! I pulled out my little baskets of scraps and unused elements once again, and…decided to create a card with what I found inside! I had all of these fun little trees inside, which were leftovers from a few different projects! They had already been die cut from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and watercolored with various ink colors. I did create a new background, and added a new sentiment as well. Hope this card inspires you to dig through your treasure trove of scraps, and create something new and unexpected!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used a Blending Brush to add some Magenta Madness to the center of the cardstock. I then embossed it with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

The trees were previously die cut from pieces of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. The paper had been colored with a Water Painter, using Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Soft Sea Foam. The trees had been die cut with Christmas Tree Dies and Majestic Mountain Dies. I also popped up the trees with several Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment (from the Bright Baubles Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I added several of the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
