stitched snowflakes…

11.08.2021…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! I just love the Stiched Snowflakes Dies, and I also love to watercolor. So….I combined the two, and created these cards and gift tag. I also wanted to add some holiday shimmer to the snowflakes, so I added some Gilding Leafing as well. Hope this inspires you to get creative with your holiday projects. Christmas will be here before you know it!

For both cards I starte with some Basic White Thick Cardstock. For the “Merry” card, I embossed it with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder, and for the “Cheer” card, I embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I then adhered the embossed cardstock to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Layered on top of that is some Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper.

Next, I used a Blending Brush to add some Coastal Cabana to another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, then embossed it with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders.

To create the snowflakes, colored the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana. Once the paper was dry, I used several of the Stitched Snowflake Dies to cut out the snowflakes. I then random dabbed my Versamark Pad onto each snowflake, and used Heat- & Stick Powder to adhere the Gilded Leafing.

The sentiments (from the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins and gold Metallic Pearls.

For the gift tag, the background was created just the same as the two cards. I also punched the top of the tag with the Fancy Tag Topper. To create the bow, I used gold Simply Elegant Trim.
