pretty in pink…

11.17.2021…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing another card that I created with the Whimsical Trees Bundle….which I’m sooooo obsessed with! It actually started out as a “clean and simple”card, but then, of course, I had to add some bling and a ruffle of ribbon. Hope this inspires you to add a “pretty in pink” touch to your holiday projects!

For this card, I started out with some Basic White Cardstock, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then added one of the Wonderful Snowflakes, and layered another little snowflake on top (created with the Stitched Snowflake Dies and Silver Foil Specialty Pack Paper. Next, I added a Basic White Thick Cardstock tree, which I cut out with one of the dies from the Whimsical Trees Bundle, then embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

To created the pink tree, I used Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and another die from the Whimsical Trees Bundle. I then used my Water Painter, along with Blushing Bride, to add a subtle wash of color to the tree.

The sentiment (also from the Whimsical Trees Bundle, was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Embossing Powder. Tucked underneath the sentiment is a ruffle of Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Opal Rounds and Subtle Shimmer Sequins.
