12.13.2021…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! The Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper is one of my favorites from the current Stampin’ Up! July – December Mini Catalog! So…I just had to create another card with it! I also thought it would be fun to give this card a “farmhouse” Christmas vibe, so I added some snowflakes that I created with the Stitched Snowflake Dies and In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. Hope this card inspires you to pull out your holiday DSP collection, and create a few more last minute cards!
For this card, I started with some Smoky Slate Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Smoky Slate Cardstock base. I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere three different patterns of Peaceful Place Speciality DSP…..and also tore the bottom edge of two of the papers.
To create the snowflakes, I used the titched Snowflake Dies and In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. To make the snowflakes a bit more sturdy, I actually cut out three of each of the snowflakes (…total of nine snowflakes), and adhered them together before I popped them up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the smaller snowflakes in the center, I used the Silver Foil Specialty Paper, and the Stitched Snowflake Dies. (I also used a nail buffing tool to take the sheen off the paper, and give it more a rustic feel.)
The sentiment (from the Evening Evergreen Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out with one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. I created the bow with Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and Linen Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on lots of Subtle Shimmer Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
