artisan design team – december 2021 – bloom where you are planted…

12.17.2021…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! I’m so excited to share my December monthly showcase projects for the Stampin’ Up! 2021 Artisan Design Team! For this month’s projects, I was asked to use products from the fabulous Bloom Where You are Planted Suite from the Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog! Hope this inspires you to create some wonderful cards or projects with these amazing products!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this is also the last blog post for the 2021 Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team. Spending this year creating projects side-by-side with this amazingly talented group of designers has been nothing short of spectacular! The year has just gone by in the blink of an eye, and I think I’m still in denial that it is coming to an end. I will sooooooo miss this being part of this dream team!!! Love you all!!!

I want to thank everyone that follows me through my blog, Facebook, and/or Instagram! I appreciate it so much, and I will still be continuing to post projects on a regular basis, just as before. Stay tuned for lots more cards, projects, and inspiration!

Congratulations to the 2022 Stampin’ Artisan Design Team members!!! You’ll want to following along with all of them as they begin their year-long journey of creativity and inspiration! (At the end of this post, you’ll find the list of the 2022 Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team members.)

For this “biggest thanks” card, I started with Blushing Bride Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Blushing Bride Cardstock base. I then used a Blending Brush to a swirl of Gray Granite (in the area where I placed the plants) to some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Tucked underneath that is a smaller piece of Basic White Cardstock, with the Paper Lattice layered on top. I then popped up the entire panel with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the plants, hanging basket, and pot…..I used dies from the Plentiful Plants bundle along with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Next, I used a Water Painter to color the shapes with Soft Sea Foam, Blushing Bride, and Gray Granite. I used several MIni Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere all of the shapes.

The sentiment (also from the Plentiful Plants Bundle) was heat-embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, cut out, and popped up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For an extra bit of texture, I added Linen Thread to the pot, and the bottom of the hanging basket. Of course, I needed some bling, so I sprinkled on Elegant Faceted Gems and gold Metallic Pearls.

Next up, is the “love you” card…

I then used a Blending Brush to a swirl of Gray Granite (in the area where I placed the plant) to some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Tucked underneath that is a narrow strip of Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper. I then popped up the entire panel with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  3. By reading your post it seems as if you will not be on the 2022 Artisian team. You are so talented and I can’t understand why. I don’t mean to be nosy, but is there a reason why you won’t be continuing to share your creative talents? You’re amazing! Thank you for sharing your creative gifts. You’re an inspiration!

I actually did apply for the 2022 Artisan Design Team, but unfortunately was not chosen to be on the team.. I will be applying again for the 2023 team. 🙂
