12.24.2021…..Happy Friday and Merry Christmas, my stampin’ friends! The Heart & Home Suite is one of my favorite suites from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! January – June 2022 Mini Catalog! And…I just couldn’t wait to create another with it! Hope this card inspires you to create a fun, “after Christmas” thank you card…or two…or more!
For this card, I started with some Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, and adhered it to a Basic Gray Cardstock Base. I then used a slightly smaller piece of Heart & Home DSP, added some cardstock underneath to make it more sturdy, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the next layer, I used the Hive 3D Embossing Folder to emboss some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and popped that layer up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit more color, I also add two strips of Heart & Home DSP, and notched each of them at one end.
To cut out the branches and leaves, I used dies from the Blessings of Home Bundle and Honeybee Home Bundle…..along with Garden Green Cardstock, Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and Basic White Thick Cardstock.
The sentiment (from the Honeybee Home Bundle) was stamped in Misty Moonlight. I also added some speckling using my Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the paper.) Tucked underneath the sentiment is a bow that I created with some Denim Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and Linen Thread. For a little bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel Pearls and Classic Matte Dots.
