happy valentines’ day…

01.31.2022…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! I just love making 3″ x 3″ cards whenever I have the chance, So…..today, I decided to make four, little Valentine’s Cards! I used the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set (from the Stampin’ Up! January – June 2022 Mini Catalog) for the sentiments, and…combined it with the Give It A Whirl Dies, to cut out the little hearts and the circle-shaped window. Hope these cards inspire you to create some fun, little Valentines for your family and friends!

I created each 3″ x 3″ card base, using Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used a Blending Brush to add a swirl of Pool Party. Next, I cut out a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used one of the Give It A Whirl Dies to cut out a circle. (I placed the die a little above center, so that I would have room to add a sentiment.) After I embossed this cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, I popped it up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the little hearts, I used a Water Painter to add Magenta Madness and Highland Heather to some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I cut out the hearts with one of the Give It A Whirl Dies, and popped up each of them with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The sentiments (from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set) were stamped in Smoky Slate, cut out, and popped with the snippets of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a tiny bit of bling, I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to each card, which I had colored with my Dark Polished Pink and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Wishing you creativity always,

  1. Hey Tammy I love those cards with the watercolor hearts. I love your watercoloring! I can’t find any videos where they did the watercoloring as nice as you— would you consider doing a video on how you did it? I love all your cards!
