04.04.2022…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! Spring has almost sprung where I live, and I’m sure all of the little bees are so happy to see those spring blooms popping up everywhere! That being said, I thought it would be a great day to create this bee-themed card, using the Honeybee Home Bundle! Hope this inspires you to create some fun, cheery springtime projects!
For this card, I started with some You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, tucked a Basic White Thick Cardstock scalloped border (created with one of the Basic Borders Dies) along the left edge, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To created the three hexagons, I used a Blending Brush to add some Mango Melody to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I cut out the hexagons with the Beautiful Shapes Dies, embossed them with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder, and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the bees (from the Honeybee Home Bundle) with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. To color them, I used a Water Painter, along with Bumbleebee and Balmy Blue. After I cut them out with the coordinating die from the same bundle, I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added a little Basic White Thick Cardstock branch, cut out with one of the dies from the Honeybee Home Bundle.
The sentiment (also from the Honeybee Home Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tucked underneath the sentiment is a bit of black/white twine, from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Rhinestone Wave Basic Jewels.
Wishing you creativity always,
