05.02.22…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! The brand new Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog is going “live” at tomorrow (May 3rd) at 12:00 noon (PT)…..and I can hardly wait. The catalog is absolutely jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamp sets, dies, paper, accessories, and more!
That being said, I could wait to make a card with the the Cup of Tea Bundle from the new catalog! It is just the cutest!!! The little teacups are so sweet, and there’s lots of fun little accessory stamps and dies, too!
For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. I then layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to the Blushing Bride Cardstock base.
To create the watercolored base for the teacups , I used a Water Painter to add Blushing Bride and Coastal Cabana to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once the paper was dry, I used the “solid” teacup die (from the Cup of Tea Bundle) to cut out the teacups. For the top layer of the teacups, I used to “outline” teacup die, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock, and then popped up both of the teacups with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the all of the little hearts, and the little distressed flower on the teacup, I used the dies from the Cup of Tea Bundle, along with the leftover watercolored paper that I created for the teacups.
Both of the sentiments (from the Cup of Tea Bundle) were stamped in Gray Granite, on Basic White Thick Cardstock. The “I Miss You” sentiment was cut out with the little tag die from the Cup of Tea Bundle. The “Let’s Get Together” sentiment was hand cut, and embossed on the top edge with the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder.
I used Linen Thread to add a little bow to the tag on the teacup. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Polished Dots.
