some of my favorite things…

04.29.22…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! While I’m super excited for all of the new, amazing products in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, the sales period for Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog will be ending in just a few short days…..on May 2, 2022. So many wonderful products are retiring, and I thought I squeeze in a few more projects with some of my favs…..the Pierced Blooms Dies, Fancy Tag Topper Punch, Genial Gems, and the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder!

If there’s anything still on your wish list from the 2021-2022 catalog, you’ll want to place your order now!

Don’t miss out!

To create this the flowers and leaves for the card and gift tag, I started with some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and used a Water Painter to add Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay. Once the paper was dry, I used the Pierced Blooms Dies to cut out lots of flowers and leaves. To add some extra dimension, I also popped up the shapes with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the card, I started with some Coastal Cabana Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Coastal Cabana Cardstock base. Next, I used a Blending Brush to add some soft swirls of Coastal Cabana to a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

After I added all of the flowers and leaves, I added a sentiment from the Lovely You Stamp Set. I used my Versamark Pad and Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder to heat-emboss the sentiment, and popped it up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Genial Gems, Pastel Pearls, and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Next up, is the little gift tag…..

To create the tag, I used a Blending Brush to add some soft swirls of Coastal Cabana to a 2″ wide strip of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and punch the top of the tag with the Fancy Tag Topper Punch.

After I added all of the flowers and leaves, I added a sentiment from the Lovely You Stamp Set. I used my Versamark Pad and Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder to heat-emboss the sentiment, and popped it up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the bow, I used Pool Party Sheer Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Genial Gems, Pastel Pearls, and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Wishing you creativity always,

  1. I love the color combination you chose! Any chance there is a video on how you created the watercoloring for the flowers and leaves?
