you’re amazing…

05.04.22…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! The brand new Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog is now “live”….and I’m just beyond excited! This catalog is absolutely jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamp sets, dies, paper, accessories, and more!

That being said, I could wait to make a card with the Vintage Bottle Punch and the Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes from the new catalog! They are just so much fun!!! I made a soft, springtime card, but….you could use the punch and the dome for any occasion! Hope this inspires you to create your own “vintage bottle” projects!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Vintage Bottle Punch to punch out the bottle, and adhered a Vintage Bottle Dome underneath. (Note: The Vintage Bottle Domes already have adhesive on them.) To create the “blue water”, I used a Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue to a another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered that underneath the bottle. I then layered some Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper underneath that, and used Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

To create the flowers, I used the Meadows Dies, along with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Next, I used a Water Painter to add Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, and Soft Succulent to the flowers and stems. I wanted the flowers to actually sit inside of the bottle, so I used my Take Your Pick Tool to carefully create a hole that was large enough to hold the stems. (I also trimmed of some of the leaves on the bottom of the stems, so that they would fit inside the bottle.

The sentiment (from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment, I added a stack of five Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to each end of the sentiment, so that I could popped it up over the Vintage Bottle Dome. To add some extra texture, I created a Linen Thread bow. For a bit of bling, sprinkled on a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.
