06.13.2022…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share another card that I created with extra bits and pieces that I had left from previous projects that I’ve been working on. This is one of my favorite things to do, and it’s always fun to see what the finished projects ends up to be! Hope this card inspires you to gather some of your bits and pieces, and create something new and unique!
To create this card, I started Basic White Thick Cardstock, cut it out with the Stitched Greenery Die, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then added some Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper, and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath the left side of the DSP is a Basic White Thick Cardstock scalloped border, which was created with one of the Basic Borders Dies.
To create the the colorful butterfly, I started with some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I then used a Water Painter to add Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Pacific Point to the paper. Once the paper was dry, I used the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut out it out. I also used tiny snippets of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the butterfly. Layered on top of the large butterfly is a smaller one, cut out from Basic White Thick Cardstock, using one of the smaller Brilliant Wings Die. Tucked under the sentiment, is a little branch that I cut out from the watercolored paper, using one of the Flowers of Home Dies.
The sentiment (from the Charming Sentiments Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, cut out with one of the coordinating dies from the same bundle, and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the bow, I used Parakeet Party 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine, and pulled the thread apart to add some extra texture. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.
Wishing you creativity always,
