06.16.2022…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing two cards that I created with the adorable Cup of Tea Bundle! Both cards are basically identical, but I created the blue card first, and then decided it would be fun to create the same card with another color combo. Hope this card inspires you to have some fun creating and experimenting with some of your favorite color combos, too!
To create each card, I started Basic White Thick Cardstock. I used Blending Brushes to add Blushing Bride (for the purple card) and Balmy Blue (for the blue card). It then embossed the cardstock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

To create the purple teacup (from the Cup of Tea Bundle), I stamped the image in Fresh Freesia, “stamped off” once, and used a Sponge Dauber to randomly add Gorgeous Grape to the stamp. Next, I spritzed the stamp with a Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), and them stamped the image on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I also speckled the image with more water drops. (To add the water drops, I “flicked” the tip of the brush against the inside edge of the cap, and “flicked” outward towards the paper.) Once the paper was dry, I cut out the teacup with the coordinating die from the Cup of Tea Bundle, and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the blue teacup, I used the same technique as above, and used Coastal Cabana (“stamped off”) and Pacific Point. To create the leaves for both teacups, I also used the same technique, and used Soft Sea Foam (“stamped off”) and Granny Apple Green.
For the lemons, I did not stamp anything. Instead, I used a Water Painter to Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody directly to the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

The sentiment (from the Cup of Tea Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, cut out with one of the coordinating dies from the same bundle, and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the bow for the blue card, I used Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine, and pulled the out a few of the threads. To create the bow for the purple card, I used the remaining threads, and I colored one of the threads with my Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Marker. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on For Everything Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
