07.04.2022…..Happy 4th of July, my stampin’ friends! Now that summer is in full swing, I thought it would be fun to create a “beach vibe” card, using the Season of Chic Bundle! I also added lots of extra texture, and a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. Hope this card inspires you to create some “beachy” projects as well!
For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then used a Blending Brush to add some Coastal Cabana to another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Layered under that is a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and Subtles Designer Series Paper (with the bottom edge torn off). I also popped up the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the seashells, I used Blending Brushes to add soft swirls of Coastal Cabana and Polished Pink to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also added some speckling with my Light Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.) I then cut out five (5) seashells from this cardstock, using the large seashell die from the Season of Chic Bundle. (I also used the woven grid die from the same bundle, which I cut out from the same colored cardstock, and created a small border near the bottom edge of the card.) Layered underneath each seashell is a Basic White Thick Cardstock seashell silhouette, which was cut out with a coordinating die from the Season of Chic Bundle.
The sentiment (from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Coastal Cabana Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tucked underneath the sentiment is some Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise), and then shredded and distressed. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Glossy Dots and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Wishing you creativity always,
