#tgifc377 – christmas in july…

07.15.2022….. Ho! Ho! Ho! Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week we have a Christmas in July Challenge for you! Yep…..It’s time to start spreading some holiday cheer, and rock some Christmas in July! We sure hope that you’ll join us!

For my card, I used the Majestic Mountain Dies, and a sentiment from the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set. I also used a non-traditional color combo…..Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Pacific Point. I hope this inspires you to use some unexpected color combos, as well!

For my card, I started with a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, used a Blending Brush to add some soft swirls of Tahitian Tide, and embossed it with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. I then tore off the bottom edge, and layered a larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

To create the the colorful trees, I started with some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I then used a Water Painter to add Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Pacific Point to the paper. Once the paper was dry, I used one of the Majestic Mountain Dies to cut out the five trees. I also used tiny snippets of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up a couple of the trees.

The sentiment (from the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. To add a bit of texture, I created a bow with the Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Colors Baker’s Twine. Before I created the bow, I pulled the threads apart, and just used three strands of thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the For Everything Fancy Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
