09.04.2022…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s time to get going on those spooky cards and projects! That being said, I decided to use the Cottage Wreath Bundle, along with the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, to create this card! And….I absolutely love that little spider stamp! Hope this card inspires you to get started on all of your seasonal projects, too!
For my card, I started with a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then added a piece of Gingham Cottage DSP, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
Next, I used my Blending Brushes to add Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then stamped several of the little spiders (from the Cottage Wreath Bundle), using my Jet Black Stazon Ink Pad. I also added some speckling, using my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.)
The wreath (from the Cottage Wreath Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the wreath with the coordinating die from the same bundle, I popped it up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The “boo” (from the same bundle) was also heat-embossed on Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To cut out the “boo”, I used one of the dies from the Give It A Whirl Dies.
To create the bow, I used Black & White Gingham Ribbon, White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (both cut in half lengthwise), and…..Black Baker’s Twine (with just two of the threads pulled out). Before I cut the white ribbon in half, I used my Dark Pumpkin Pie and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the ribbon. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Glossy Dots and Classic Matte Dots.
Wishing you creativity always,
