christmas…

09.17.2022…..Happy Saturday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I looked at all of the wonderful little scraps, bits, and pieces that I had set aside on my desk, and…..I decided it was a great day to use a few of them! That being said, I ending up creating this whimsical, holiday card. The card base and the Snowflake Specialty Vellum are new, but all of the other layers and pieces are from my leftover scraps. Hope this card inspires you to use up some of your little bits and pieces, too!

For my card, I started with a piece of Pool Party Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then added a piece of Snowflake Specialty Vellum (with some Basic White Thick Cardstock layered underneath), and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next, I embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. Layered on top of that, is a torn piece of Kraft Paper, which I embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. I then my Water Painter, along with a few drops of my White Craft Ink Refill (mixed with a tiny bit of water) to add some white speckles. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the end of the brush against the inside edge of the brush cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.)

To create the trees, I used a Water Painter (along with Polished Pink) to add some watercoloring to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once the paper was dry, I punched out the trees with the Evergreen Border Punch, and popped them up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the snowflakes, I used two of the Chic Dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock.

The sentiment (from the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Coastal Cabana Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tucked underneath the sentiment, is a bow that I created, using Linen Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
