12/02/22…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! We have been having so much fun with our TGIF Challenges this year, so let’s keep it going with a fantastically inspirational Color Challenge, using…..Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, and Real Red. I chose to use this color combo for a holiday-themed card, but there are so many ways you can go with it! We hope this challenge inspires you to use your creativity and craftineess to create a unique card of your own! We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with Shaded Spruce Cardstock, and embossed it with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. I then my Water Painter, along with a few drops of my White Craft Ink Refill (mixed with a tiny bit of water) to add some white speckles. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the end of the brush against the inside edge of the brush cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.)
After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Basic White Thick Cardstock card base.

To create the wreaths, I used a Blending Brush to add swirls of Granny Apple Green to Basic White Thick Cardstock. Next, I used my Water Painter to “flick” water drops across the cardstock, then dried it with a Heat Tool (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the end of the brush against the inside edge of the brush cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.) Once the cardstock was dry, used the two wreath dies (from the Country Wreath Dies) to cut out three wreaths, and then layered them together.
The sentiment (from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The bow was create with White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and Linen Thread. To add some extra texture and dimension to the wreath, I added several Gold Holly Leaves. For an extra bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Wishing you creativity always,
