02.14.2023…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s a super fun“ Sketch Challenge”. I always love a sketch challenge, because it’s the perfect way to jump-start your creativity!
I thought these little flower pots from the Scenic Garden SAB Host Stamp Set, colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers, would be just perfect for this challenge. I’m also obsessed with embossing folders, so I added an extra bit of texture to this card with the Timeworn Type and Timber 3D Embossing Folders. I also used the Stitched Greenery Die, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon, and 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.
Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have 32 amazing projects to share, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!
Then…..you create a card or project, with inspiration of your own (or use one from our team)…..using this sketch challange! Share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post.

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. Next, I embossed some Pool Party Cardstock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to the card base. For a fun, extra layer, I used one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut out a tag from Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used the tag with the Stitched Greenery Die, and adhered it to the card base.

I stamped the flower pots (from the Scenic Garden SAB Host Stamp Set) on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. I then created a “mask” by stamping the image on some scrap paper, and cutting it out by hand. Next, I covered the original image with the “mask”, and used a Small Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue around the outside of the flowerpots To color the image, I used the following Stampin’ Blends Marker Combo Packs…..Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Gray Granite. I also added some speckling with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
The sentiment (from the Honeybee Home Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Gray Granite Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out by hand, I popped it up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the bow on the tag, I used Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and White Baker’s Twine (with just a couple of thread pulled out). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.
Wishing you creativity always,
