artisan design team – april 2023 – marigold moments…

05.01.2023…..Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I wanted to share my April 2023 projects, as a member of the Stampin’ Up! 2023 Artisan Design Team. I was assigned the gorgeous, Marigold Moments Bundle, from the current Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog…..which expires today! This wonderful bundle is jam-packed with wonderful phrases, patterns, elements, and tons of inspiration! It’s absolutely perfect for card-making, memory keeping, and so much more! I hope this projects inspire you to create some wonderful creations of your own, using these amazing products!

To create the base for each of the card, I used Pool Party Cardstock, along with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Pool Party Cardstock base. For the gift tag, I used one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, along with Pool Party Cardstock, and embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

I also used the Vellum 12″ x 12″ Layering Designs (backed with Basic White Thick Cardstock), for an unexpected twist.

To create the colorful “watercolor look” background, I used Blending Brushes to add Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Tahitian Tide to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used a Water Painter to “flick” water droplets on the cardstock, and dried it with a Heat Tool. To add some extra texture, I also tore the edges of the cardstock.

For each of the marigolds, I used Basic White Thick Cardstock, along with the marigold die from the Marigold Moments Bundle.

I also used Distressed Gold Shimmer Paper, along with the border die from the Marigold Moments Bundle, to add a subtle bit of shimmer to my projects.

The sentiments (from the Marigold Moments Bundle) were heat-embossed on Coastal Cabana Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also cut them out with dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

To create the bows, I used Linen Thread and Tahitian Tide Baker’s Twine (with a few of the threads pulled out.) For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Opal Rounds and Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
