10.20.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! For our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month, it is all about rich comforts and rustic elegance. Think rich autumnal colours and warm winter comforts (food, clothing and hot drinks) or something rustic and elegant that fits the season of where you live. This theme was such a great source of inspiration for me, and I hope it is for you, too!
I choose to go with rustic elegance vibe for my card, and I instantly knew I wanted to use the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. I also decided to use one of the Painted Lavender Dies to create the wreath, and of course I had to create a bow with the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon.
For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, then added four different strips (in various widths) of Country Woods DSP. To create the wreath, I used Blending Brushes to add Mossy Meadow and Old Olive to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. I then cut out all of the leaves with one of the Painted Lavender Dies. To create the stars, I used one of the Citrus Blooms Dies, along with the Country Woods DSP.
The sentiment (from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. To create the bow, I used Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries.
