stamping sunday blog hop – case and switch…

07.20.2025…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month is inspired by a “CASE and switch” challenge. This is actually a CASE Challenge with a twist! Find something in the New Annual Catalogue that you’re inspired to CASE but … if you’ve found a Card to CASE, make your project anything but a card. If you’ve found a Scrapbook layout to CASE, make yours anything but a Scrapbook layout. Literally switch what it is you create from what you’ve been inspired by.

For my card, I chose to use the Impressions Abloom Dies (for all the for the flowers branches)…..along with the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper and the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. For the heat-embossed sentiment, I used the Notes & Totes Stamp Set.

(For my inspiration, I used the scrapbook page below…..from Page 61 of the Stampin’ Up! 2025 – 2026 Annual Catalog.)

For this card, I started with some Country Woods DSP, and adhered it to a Pecan Pie Cardstock base. Next, I used a Blending Brush to add the slightest bit of Petal Pink ink to some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. After I layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the card base. I then cut two strips of the Beautiful Gallery DSP, notch the bottom of each one, and adhered them to the card base.

To create the flowers and leaves, I used the Impressions Abloom Dies, along with the Beautiful Gallery DSP. The sentiment (from the Note & Totes Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Textured Notes Dies, I used a Sponge Dauber and White Craft Ink to give it a “chalkboard” look.

I created the bow with Gold 1/8″ Trim (cut in half lengthwise) and Linen Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Low Profile Dots, Iridescent Foil Gems, and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

Wishing you creativity always,

You won’t want to miss any of this month’s projects!
