#tgifc247 – you rock…

Music from the Heart - You Rock by Tammy C. Wilson

01.17.2020…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have a super fun Theme Challenge for you…..Happy Birthday! That’s right, my stampin’ friends, put your party pants on…..and just go crazy!!!  I love making cards of any kind, but birthdays cards are probably my favorite!  I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!

By the way, if you haven’t ordered the Music from the Heart stamp set yet (which I used to create this card), you’ll want to add it to your wish list right away!  And, don’t forget…

Don’t miss the SALE-A-BRATION!

There is no limit to how much your can earn during SALE-A-BRATION, but this yearly special ends on March 31, 2020.

I used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, along with a Silver Foil Sheet, and added it to a Basic Black Cardstock base. For the watercolored background, I used the Music from the Heart stamp set (along with some Shimmery White Cardstock) to create a background.  I vertically stamped the music staff a few times in Bermuda Bay, and then a few times in Coastal Cabana.  The music notes were stamped in Night of Navy.  I then misted the paper with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper.  Once the paper was dry. I added some speckling with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (by flicking the thick end of the marker against the marker cap).

Once the paper was dry, and stamped the “you rock!” sentiment several times, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad.  I also heat-embossed the guitar image three times, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  The “happy birthday” sentiment was heat-embossed as well, on Basic Black Cardstock.  Before I popped up the sentiment with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked a bit of Silver Metallic Thread and Basic Black Twine (from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack) underneath.  For a bit of bling, I added a few Clear Epoxy Droplets, and a couple of Clear Faceted Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
