ADT March 2020 - Best Dressed by Tammy C. Wilson

For this card that I created with the Best Dressed Suite, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. After I tore off the bottom edge, I layered a large piece of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper underneath, and a small strip of the DSP underneath that, and tore of the bottom edges of both. I layered all of this on a large piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and added a small strip of Best Dressed DSP (with the top edge torn off) along the bottom edge.

I used the one of the stamps from the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set , along with Mint Macaron (“stamped off” once), to stamp a background on a little piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment (also from the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set) on top, using Basic Gray (also “stamped off” once). After I cut out the sentiment, I cut a slightly larger piece of cardstock to layer underneath. Before I popped up the sentiment with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow, and adhered the entire panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then cut out three perfume bottles from the Best Dressed DSP, and popped them up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I added a few of the Woven Threads Sequins.

Next up is the card that I created with the Well Dressed Stamp Set, which I earned for FREE from the Sale-A-Bration Second Release catalog! This is such a versatile stamp set, and is great choice for avid crafters as well. It’s just perfect for heat-embossing, watercoloring, Stampin’ Blends….you name it!!!

ADT March 2020 - Well Dressed by Tammy C. WilsonI started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and used my Stampin’ Spritzer to add a light mist of water. After I used my Aqua Painter to add some Bermuda Bay, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. I then used one of the stamps from the Well Dressed Stamp Set (along with Bermuda Bay) to add the pattern in the background, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.

I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and heat-embossed the shoe (from the Well Dressed Stamp Set) several times, using my Versamark Pad and Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I colored just a few of the shoes in Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake, using my Aqua Painter. For the speckling, I used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, and “flicked” the larger end of the marker against the marker cap. After I layered a piece of Pressed Petals Speciality Designer Series Paper underneath, I heat-embossed the sentiments (from the Well Said Stamp Set) on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiments, I popped them up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. (I also distressed most of the paper on this card, to give it some extra dimension.) To add some texture, I added a bit of Braided Burlap Trim, Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon, and Country Club Baker’s Twine.

  1. Gorgeous! I like the clean, fresh look of the first card but am bowled over by the grungier, more distressed look of the Well Dressed card. Love the colours and textures you’ve used for it.
