08.25.19…..For this Sunday’s hop, we are featuring some of our favorite products from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog! For me, as I’m sure it was for the rest of our team,it was sooooooo hard to pick a favorite! There are just so many amazing stamp sets and products…with endless possibilities!
That being said, I finally decided to use the new Gather Together Bundle. I’m sharing three cards (beginner, casual, avid) created with this bundle. (The avid card is featured above.) I’ve also included complete instructions underneath each card, so you can scroll right to the card that suits your fancy and start creating!
Please note: You may begin placing orders from the NEW 2019 Holiday Catalog on September 4, 2019.
Let’s start with the beginner card. This card is quick and easy, and uses limited supplies.
For this card, I used Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder to dry-emboss a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock, adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base, and added a two strips of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper. I stamped the pumpkins and the sentiment (all from the Gather Together Bundle) in Early Espresso on Whisper White Cardstock. The pumpkins were cut out with dies from the Gather Together Bundle, and the sentiment was cut out with one of the Stitched Label Dies.
To color the pumpkins, I used my Aqua Painter, along with Cajun Craze and Pretty Peacock. (I also made sure that the ink was dry before I started watercoloring, and used quick, single strokes to prevent the ink from running.) I then popped up the sentiment and the pumpkins with several Stampin’ Dimensionals. To add just a bit of texture, I added a Linen Thread bow.
Next is the casual card. This requires just a bit more time and a few extra supplies.
For this card, I used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder along with some Whisper White Cardstock, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then used the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder to dry-emboss a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock, and added a two strips of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper.
To add some texture, I added a bow, using Linen Thread, Braided Linen Trim, and Woven Threads Trim. (When you cut the bottom edge off of the Woven Threads Trim, you end up with a piece “mini” fringe, which is what I used on this card.) For an extra bit of detail, I tucked in a few of the Bird Ballad Trinkets.
And last, but certainly not least…..the avid card! This card requires additional time and supplies, but it is oh sooooo much fun!
For this card, I used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder along with some Whisper White Cardstock, and then used my Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker on the edge of the marker cap. I also used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then used the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder to dry-emboss a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock, and added a two strips of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper.
I stamped the pumpkins (from the Gather Together Bundle) in Early Espresso on Whisper White Cardstock, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. To color the pumpkins, I used my Aqua Painter, along with Cajun Craze and Pretty Peacock. (I also made sure that the ink was dry before I started watercoloring, and used quick, single strokes to prevent the ink from running.) I also used a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the pumpkins. The sentiment (also from the Gather Together Bundle) was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out with one of the Stitched Labels Dies, I popped it up with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals. To add a shabby chic feel to the card, I also distressed all of the paper edges.
To add some texture, I added a bow, using Linen Thread, Braided Linen Trim, and Woven Threads Trim. (When you cut the bottom edge off of the Woven Threads Trim, you end up with a piece “mini” fringe, which is what I used on this card.) For an extra bit of detail and bling, I added several Woven Threads Sequins, a couple of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and tucked in a few of the Bird Ballad Trinkets.
