05.10.20…..Happy Mother’s Day! Hope everyone has a chance to spend a bit of time relaxing and enjoying the day! I just love the Bloom & Grow Bundle (Bloom & Grow Stamp Set + Budding Blooms Dies), and I thought it would be just perfect to use for a bright, cheery Mother’s Day card! This is such a fun stamp for coloring with Stampin’ Blends, and I love that it has a coordinating die set as well! If you don’t have the Bloom & Grow Bundle, you’ll want to add it to your wish list as soon as possible!
For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and used a Stamping Sponge (along with my Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad) to add a subtle wash of color in the center. I then embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, layered some Calypso Coral Cardstock underneath, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.
I stamped the flowers and leaves (from the Bloom & Grow Bundle) on Whisper White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad and cut them out with the coordinating dies from the same bundle. To color the flowers and leaves, I used the Calypso Coral Stampin Blends Combo Pack, the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack, and the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack. After I was done with my coloring, I popped up the large bouquet with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, and tucked the other berries and leaves underneath.
The sentiment (from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set) was also stamped with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, cut out, and popped up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several Woven Threads Sequins and Iridescent Sequins.
