07.26.2021…..Happy Monday, everyone! I’m so excited to share my July monthly showcase projects for the Stampin’ Up! 2021 Artisan Design Team! For this month’s projects, I was asked to use products from the Sweet Symmetry Suite, from the Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Hope this inspires you to create some cards or projects with this wonderful suite!
There have also been a few changes to the way the Artisan Design Team is sharing projects this year. The team has been divided into three groups, and each group is assigned a different collection of products to create with. This means an even greater variety of projects and inspiration. And…instead of the monthly blog hops, the team will have a greater presence on the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Facebook Page and their Instagram account as well.
Be sure check out the rest of the team’s fabulous creations on the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Facebook Page at : https://www.facebook.com/stampinup

Let’s get stamping with my “Hey Friend” card…
I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then layered some Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper on top of that.

The flowers and leaves were stamped on Basic White Thick Cardstock. To create the each of the flowers, I used a couple of Sponge Daubers to add some Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink to the stamp, then lightly misted it with a Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water (before I stamped the image on the paper. For the leaves and stems, I used the same process…..just using Soft Sea Foam instead. After the paper was dry, I added slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment (from the In Symmetry Bundle) was heat-embossed, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For the bow, I used the Flirty Flamingo Bold Metallic Ribbon (cut in half vertically). To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Genial Gems, Elegant Faceted Gems, and gold Metallic Pearls.
Next up is my “Thanks” card…
For this card, I started with some Petal Pink Cardstock, and embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder. I then layered a slightly larger piece of Petal Pink Cardstock underneath, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

To create the little stems, I used the Symmetrical Stems Border Punch (from the In Symmetry Bundle). I actually didn’t color the leaves individually. Instead, I used the leftover images that I had stamped for the “Hey Friend” card, and punched the stems from those extra pieces. After I used a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stems to a strip of Basic White Thick Cardstock, I tucked a bit of Sweet Symmetry DSP underneath (die cut along the bottom edge with one of the Ornate Layers Dies. I also added a Basic White scalloped border underneath that, using one of the Scalloped Contours Dies.
Wishing you creativity always,
