10.18.2021…..Happy Monday, everyone! I’m so excited to share my October monthly showcase projects for the Stampin’ Up! 2021 Artisan Design Team! For this month’s projects, I was asked to use products from the gorgeous Words of Cheer Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! August – December Mini Catalog. Hope this inspires you to create some holiday cards or projects with this amazing products!
There have also been a few changes to the way the Artisan Design Team is sharing projects this year. The team has been divided into three groups, and each group is assigned a different collection of products to create with. This means an even greater variety of projects and inspiration. And…instead of the monthly blog hops, the team will have a greater presence on the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Facebook Page and their Instagram account as well.Be sure check out the rest of the team’s fabulous creations on the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Facebook Page at : https://www.facebook.com/stampinup.

For the “stars” card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then used another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, along with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder. I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Coastal Cabana ink to the inside of the folder. I then adhered it to a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and popped up the entire panel with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using a large strip of Basic White Thick Cardstock, I heat-embossed the large floral image (from the Words of Cheer Bundle), using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To color in the floral image, I used my Water Painter, along with Bermuda Bay, Soft Sea Foam, and Gray Granite. I also added some speckling with my Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.) After I tore off the bottom edge of the cardstock, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the little stars, I used the stars die (from the Words of Cheer Bundle), along with Gold Metallic Speciality Paper. I also threaded some Linen Thread through the little holes in the stars. The sentiment (also from the Words of Cheer Bundle) was heat-embossed on Coastal Cabana Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on 2021-2021 In Color Jewels and Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
Next up is the “happy” card…
For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder. I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Coastal Cabana ink to the inside of the folder. I then adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

Using another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, I heat-embossed the large floral image (from the Words of Cheer Bundle), using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To color in the floral image, I used my Water Painter, along with Bermuda Bay, Soft Sea Foam, and Gray Granite. I also added some speckling with my Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.) I then adhered it to a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, and popped up the entire panel with a few Stampin‘ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath the top left of the panel is a Square Vellum Doily.
To create the “happy”, I one of the dies from the Words of Cheer Bundle, along with Gold Metallic Speciality Paper. To add some extra dimension. I cutout the “happy” a second time from a Foam Adhesive Sheet, and adhere that underneath the die cut. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on 2021-2021 In Color Jewels and Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
