tidings of christmas…

11.12.2021…..Happy Friday, everyone! Today, I wanted to share a project that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It is a “giftable” challenge, so each of our team members created a “gift” like a handmade set of cards, gift package, ornaments, or any home decor for any season. That being said, I decided to create this fun, little set of holiday notecards, using the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper, along with…..the Kraft Gift Box, Note Cards & Envelopes, and Cork Specialty Paper. I hope this “giftable” challenge inspires you to get crafting, and starting creating some handmade holiday gifts for your friends and family!

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team will be posting lots of wonderful “giftable” ideas throughout November!

For the Kraft Gift Box, I used one of the stamps from the Christmas Season Stamp Set, along with White Craft Ink Pad, to create a wintry pattern. (Before I stamped, I also used a few Post-Its to “mask off” the clear window.)

The Basic Black Cardstock tag was created with one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The sentiment (from the Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set) was heat-embossed, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Versamark Pad. To created the tiny branches and holly leaves, I used Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent Cardstock, along with the Christmas Cheer Dies.

For the bow, I used Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, Real Red Ruffled Ribbon (cut in half vertically), and Linen Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Wonderful Gems and Gilded Gems.

Next up are the cute, little notecards…

To create each of the notecards, I used the note cards from the Note Cards & Envelopes as my card base. I then added a piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP. I then used the Cork Speciality Paper, along with one of the Basic Border Dies, to create the vertical border on each note card.

The Basic Black Cardstock tag on each note card was created with one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The sentiment (from the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set) was heat-embossed, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Versamark Pad. To created the tiny branches and holly leaves, I used Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent Cardstock, along with the Christmas Cheer Dies.

For the bow, I used Linen Thread, and for a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Wonderful Gems and Gilded Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
