03.12.2022…..Happy Saturday, my stampin’ friends! I had these three colorful, watercolored leaves leftover from a project that I created last fall, and I just couldn’t toss them out! So….today I finally decided to use them for this card! I also wanted to use my Magenta Madness Cardstock, which is one of the 2020-2022 In Colors that will be retiring in May. Hope this inspires you to use some of those special, little elements that you’ve saved and tucked away!
For this card, I started with Magenta Madness Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere a some Basic White Thick Cardstock on top of the card base.
Next, I used a Blending Brush to add some Coastal Cabana to a slightly smaller piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also added some speckling, using my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, “flicking” outward towards the cardstock.)

To create the leaves, I used a Water Painter to add Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay, and Magenta Madness to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I then used one of the dies from the Intricate Leaves Dies to cut out the three leaves.
I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set) on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few Stampin‘ Dimensionals.
To create the bow, I used Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. I colored the ribbon with my Dark HIghland Heather Stampin’ Blends Marker, then cut the ribbon in half lengthwise before I created the bow. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels, and 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
Wishing you creativity always,
