so grateful…

09.04.2022…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! It’s 100 degrees today where I live, and doesn’t seem like autumn at all, but I was totally in the mood to make a seasonal card. I decided to use the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, along with some traditional fall colors…..Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede. Hope this card inspires you to get started on all of your seasonal projects!

For my card, I started with a piece of Kraft Paper, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

To create the multi-colored leaves, I stamped the large leaf stamp (from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set) in Crushed Curry, and “stamped off” once, on a piece of scrap paper. (I did not stamp on the cardstock yet.) I then used Sponge Daubers to randomly add Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede to the leaves and stems, and then I stamped on the Basic White Cardstock. I repeated this process three or four times, cleaning off the stamp in between, before I placed the stamp in Crushed Curry again.

To give the leaves and stems a bit of a watercolor feel, I used my Water Painter (filled with water) to add lots of water droplets. To create the speckling, I flicked the brush tip against the inside edge of the lid, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.

Once the cardstock was dry (you may want to use a Heat Tool for this), I used my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. To create the speckling, I flicked the the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the lid, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock. I then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the cardstock to the card base.

The sentiment (from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set) was stamped on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad. After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

For a little extra texture, I created a Linen Thread bow. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins and Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.

Wishing you creativity always,
