tgifc#518 – sketch challenge…

06.12.2026…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week we’re featuring a fresh and versatile Sketch Challenge! This layout combines a clean rectangular focal layer with a bold circle element that overlaps beautifully—perfect for showcasing a favorite sentiment, stamped image, die-cut, or layered embellishment.

The simple design leaves plenty of room to add your own creative flair, whether you lean clean and classic or love lots of texture and detail. Use the sketch as your creative guide and see where it takes you! Once your project is complete, be sure to share it on social media and tag @TGIFChallenges so we can admire your work and celebrate your inspiration along with the rest of our crafty community! As always, make sure you link up below for your chance to be this week’s challenge winner!

For this challenge, I using a variety of products, including the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP. Hope this card inspires you to create some brand new cards with this sketch challenge as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic Black Cardstock base. For the next layer, I cut out some Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP, and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I created a smaller panel with two patterns of the Beautiful Life DSP, and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well. I then cut out a scalloped circle from Basic White Thick Cardstock (using the Scalloped Blossoms Dies), and using a Small Blending Brush to add Coastal Cabana to the center of the circle. I also added a Basic White Thick Cardstock border along the bottom edge, using one of the Bordered in Beauty Dies.

The butterflies and flowers (from the Extraordinary Life Bundle) were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Black Embossing Powder. To color the images, I used a Water Painter, along with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana. After I cut them out with the coordinating dies, I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the branches, I used a Blending Brush to add Coastal Cabana to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and cut them out with one of the Delicate Whispers Dies.

The sentiment (from the Rolling Waves Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pearlized Faceted Circles and Sunset Sparkle Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
