09.13.19…..Happy Friday, stampers!  Here in Northern California, the hot summer days are quickly changing to cooler days, and even cooler evenings.  And…..once those temps start dropping, I start thinking of all of the colorful Fall projects that I want to create!

That being said, it’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have a Sketch Challenge to inspire you…..and it also worked perfectly with this Halloween card. I hope you have a chance to play along with us today!  We can’t wait to see what you create!

I decided to switch things up just a bit, and change my card to a vertical layout. I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  After I layered it with a piece another piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock Base.

To watercolor the background (on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper), I misted the paper with my Stampin’ Spritzer.  I then added several drops of color with my Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills (in Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss, and Old Olive), and spritzed the paper a just bit more, then sat back and watched the magic happen.  As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there.  After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper, but still left it slightly damp.  I then used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add the speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker on the edge of the marker cap. Once the paper was dry, I layered it with some Basic Black Cardstock, and popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For that shabby chic feel, I also distressed the edges of all of the paper.

For some extra layering, I added just a bit of Vellum Cardstock (die cut with one of the Layering Circle Dies), and embossed it with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. I then stamped the tag (from the Tags Tags Tags Bundle) on Whisper White Cardstock (using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad), and some more speckling with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  After I die cut it the tag with the coordinating die (from the Tags Tags Tags Bundle), I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To add some extra texture, I tied a Linen Thread bow onto the tag, and also added some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and a bit of shredded Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon.  For my little bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Glitter Enamel Dots.

Wishing you creativity always,
