12.06.19…..Happy Friday, everyone! December is just flying by, and…..it’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have a gorgeous Color Challenge for you…..Whisper White, Seaside Spray, and Silver Glitter! I’m super excited about this challenge, and I just love the wintery feel that this color combo evokes! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!
For this week’s card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and Seaside Spray Cardstock, and embossed them both with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Before I layered them both together, I used my Aqua Painter to add some speckling to the Whisper White Cardstock. (I created the speckling by dipping my Aqua Painter into some Seaside Spray ink, and “flicking” the brush tip against the brush cap.)
After I layered both pieces of cardstock together, I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered them to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I also added a bit Vellum Cardstock, which was cut out with one of the Layering Circles Dies, and then embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
For a bit more of the Seaside Spray, I added a small strip of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, and then added some Silver Glimmer Paper (die cut with one of the Christmas Layers Dies). The sentiment (from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Before I adhered the sentiment with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked in a bit of Silver Metallic Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Woven Thread Sequins, along with a few of the tiny silver sequins from the Snowflake Sequins.
