07.28.19…..Happy Sunday, everyone! I am super excited to share these cards with you today, as this is my first post as a member of the Stamping Sunday Design Team! Needless to say, I am thrilled to be a part of this talented group of stampers!
For this Sunday’s hop, we are featuring projects using pigment sprinkles or an inked background. That being said, I’m sharing three cards (beginner, casual, avid) using the same inked background. (The avid card is featured above.) I’ve also included complete instructions underneath each card, so you can scroll right to the card that suits your fancy and start creating!
Let’s start with the beginner card. This card is quick and easy, and uses limited supplies.
To watercolor the background (on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper), I used my Aqua Painter…..along with Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray. After I was done watercoloring, I misted the paper with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper, but still left it slightly damp. I then used my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker to add the speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker on the edge of the marker cap. Once the paper was dry, I adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.
For a bit of texture, I added some Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon and Linen Ribbon. The sentiment (from the Praiseworthy Prose Bundle) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then cut out the sentiment, popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a gold Metallic Pearl.
Next is the casual card. This requires just a bit more time and a few extra supplies.

Once the paper was dry, I tucked in a piece of Whisper White Cardstock (embossed with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder) before I adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.

The sentiment (from the Praiseworthy Prose Bundle) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then cut out the sentiment using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For those last little details, I sprinkled on a gold Metallic Pearl and a Glitter Enamel Dot.
And last, but certainly not least…..the avid card! This card requires additional time and supplies, but it is oh sooooo much fun!

I absolutely love embossing folders! So…..to “step up” this card a bit more, I added some Vellum Cardstock (die cut with one of the Stitched Label Dies), and embossed it with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
For a bit of texture, I added some Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon and Linen Ribbon. On this card, I also added some Whisper White Baker’s Twine (…just a few strands were pulled out). For those last little details, I sprinkled on a few gold Metallic Pearls and a couple of Glitter Enamel Dots.
