stamping sunday blog hop – unfold fun folds…

09.15.2024…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! For our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month, it is all about fun folds…..be it simple or avid card. This theme was such a great source of inspiration for me, and I hope it is for all of you, too!

For my card, I decided to create a diagonal Z-fold card (with a pocket for a gift card and/or note) using Basic White Thick Cardstock base. The background for each of the panels was created with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. I also used the Flowers of Beauty Dies, Unbounded Love Dies, Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Tinsel Gems Three-Pack, and Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.

For this card, I started with an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I cut the the cardstock on a diagonal…..from 3″ on the left side, and go up to the 5-1/2″ on the right side. To create the two folds, I scored the card base twice…..at 3-5/8″ and 7-1/4″. I then covered each of the panels with Country Woods Designer Series Paper, and also created a little pocket on the far right panel, so that a gift card or note can be added.

To create the front panel of the card, I used the Flowers of Beauty Dies to cut out the large branch. For the scalloped label, I used one of the Unbounded Beauty Dies, along with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Tucked underneath the label is a Linen Thread bow. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack and Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.

All of the sentiments (from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Two of the sentiments were cut out with the Unbounded Love Dies. I also used the Flowers of Beauty Dies to cut out the other leaves and branches, and the Unbounded Love Dies to cut out the oval and scalloped shapes from the Country Woods DSP.
