07.07.18… It’s a really warm day here today…about 97 degrees or so. Although I’m really grateful that it’s been a fairly mild summer so far, when it gets close to 100 degrees, it’s just plain hot! And…I don’t know about y’all, but when the hot weather hits, I like to make meals that are simple, quick and easy. Actually, a fresh Greek Salad and a couple of slices of chilled watermelon sound just perfect right about now! Ok…and maybe a little fro-yo for dessert!
06.30.2018… Ok, can we just seriously talk about “elements” for a minute? Whether you actually like to call them “elements”, or accessories, or a even a gathering of various materials & supplies….. “elements” are one of the things that the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog is chockful of! This, of course, is one of the reasons that I’m forever addicted to Stampin’ Up products. Whether it be trendy, traditional, romantic, whimsical, or vintage…..the variety of styles and product choices is amazing!
06.26.18… I am a lover (…bordering on obsession) of paper crafting accessories and gadgets, especially Stampin’ Up! accessories and gadgets! The brand new 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is chockful of so many wonderful stamp sets and ink pads, and the accessories and gadgets just can’t be beat. From the new Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and sequins…to the new Framelits and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders…this catalog has it all! So on this card, I just couldn’t help myself and I incorporated lots of those amazing new products. into my design.
One of my favorite new products that I used on this card was the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. It was also my inspiration for creating this card for the latest Global Design Project #GDP144 (Case the Designer – Charlet Mallett).

06.10.18… It’s such a beautiful day outside today…only 75 degrees. I know that summer is going to be here any day now (with temperatures climbing over 100º ), so I’m really grateful for this gorgeous weather!
06.02.18… The wonderful variety of Designer Series Paper that Stampin’ Up! offers in each and every new catalog is always something I truly look forward to. And… the new Designer Series Paper in the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 catalog does not disappoint! On this latest creation of mine, I paired a piece of the new Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper along with some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. Both of this paper collections come in a handy 6″ x 6″ size, which I love!

05.30.18… Today was one of those days when I didn’t have a specific card layout or color combo in mind, until…I saw this week’s Global Design Project #GDP140). So…I decided to just start with a blank canvas (…a.k.a. Whisper White Cardstock). Next, I pulled out my new Detailed With Love stamp set …which, by the way, is quickly climbing up the charts as one of my “Top 10 Favorite Stamp Sets”! Such a versatile set! With the super adorable sentiments and trendy embellishment stamps, you just can’t go wrong!
05.27.18… As so many of you do, I also send out cards for birthdays, holidays, weddings, …you name it. But… sometimes it’s nice to send a card to a friend “just because”. I especially like to do this for friends that I don’t get to see often. It’s such a nice way to say “Hey, friend…I’m thinking of you today”. And…what a fun surprise!
05.27.18…I’ve got to be honest…I’m obsessed with the new Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. The patterns are to die for! It also comes with another option … each 12″ x 12″ sheet has a “shimmery” side, as well as a matte side. You just can go wrong with this gorgeously versatile paper!
For this card, I decided to go with “shimmer” option, using two different patterns from this beautiful paper collection. Both strips of paper were layered on a Whisper White Cardstock base, which was speckled with Sahara Sand Ink. For the “shine”, I used a Gold Foil Sheet along the Layering Circles Framelits and the Bloomin’ Hearts Framelits (for the little flowers). I also used the Layering Circles Framelits, along with Vellum cardstock, to die cut the second scalloped circle. Continue reading “shimmer & shine…”
05.26.18…I’ve got to admit, I’ve been really good these last few weeks, as far as using up most of my extra pieces of Designer Series Paper…before it all retires at the end of this month.
05.26.18…I am having the best time ever with all of the amazing new colors and products from the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! catalog! And…I could wait to use my new Petal Pink Cardstock to make this Spring-themed birthday card. Oddly enough…today it’s 48 degrees outside, dark, rainy, and almost wintry. Hey…I’m not complaining though, summer is literally just around the corner, and it’ll be 100+ degrees before you know it!
